About Peruze

AI adoption, built on cyber discipline.

We started Peruze because organisations were being asked to make long, expensive technology commitments in a market that changes every quarter. AI has made that problem more urgent, not less.

The founders

Both founders have built and exited a cyber security business. You work directly with them, not an account team.

Ian Turnbull, Founder and CEO

Ian brings the security operations side. He founded and scaled a managed security services business, and at Peruze leads the protection, monitoring and response that keep AI safe to run.

  • Founded a managed security services business and grew it from start-up to £12M+ revenue before acquisition
  • Scaled it to more than £20M revenue after the acquisition
  • Delivered the fastest global partner growth and highest qualifications with leading security vendors
  • Recognised with multiple industry awards, including Partner of the Year
  • Launched one of the UK's first fully managed next-generation SOCs

Chris Gough, Founder and COO

Chris brings the commercial side of AI governance. He has spent his career turning complex technology estates into measurable savings and stronger control, and at Peruze leads AI Estate Discovery and the licensing and cost work that makes AI pay.

  • Founded and led a technology optimisation business (IT asset management, vendor negotiation and cost optimisation) through its acquisition by a private equity-backed consolidator
  • Built and led a team of 50+ professionals supporting central government, financial services and enterprise clients
  • Delivered average annual savings of £450K for mid-market clients, and multi-million savings for enterprise
  • Chief Strategy Officer after the acquisition, securing global contracts with tier-1 technology vendors
  • COO of a cyber security business, leading its operational transformation
  • 30 years in IT, starting in network and security architecture; now also works as a fractional CISO

What we believe

Prove it first

No long commitment until something has worked in your own business. That applies to us as much as to any technology we recommend.

Stay independent

We recommend what fits your estate and budget, including the tools you already own. We are not tied to any single vendor.

Speak business

Risk, reliability and return, expressed in terms your board can weigh against every other priority.

Who we work with

UK organisations with 500+ employees and £2.5M+ annual IT spend, typically in financial services and insurance, healthcare, business services, manufacturing and retail.

Particularly those who want AI governance and cost control without committing to a single vendor's stack, or being steered into one by a licensing audit.

78%

of AI users bring their own tools to work, outside IT approval.

Microsoft Work Trend Index 2025

59%

report rising wasted AI spend; only 31% can see their AI software.

Flexera, State of ITAM 2026

52%

of UK software buyers regret their last purchase.
