peruze.io is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all users deserve equal access to information and services online.

Our Commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as a voluntary standard for our website. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:

As a private company, peruze.io is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018, which apply to public sector websites. We nonetheless treat WCAG 2.1 AA as our target standard, and the Equality Act 2010 informs our approach to reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities.

Conformance Status

peruze.io is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known issues and improve conformance over time.

We regularly review our website for accessibility issues and aim to remediate identified barriers as quickly as reasonably possible.

  • Decorative images marked appropriately so screen readers can ignore them

2. Navigation & Structure

  • Clear and consistent page structure using proper heading hierarchy
  • All functionality is accessible via keyboard, without requiring a mouse
  • Visible focus indicators for interactive elements
  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page, to bypass repeated navigation
  • Descriptive page titles and link text

3. Content

  • Plain English used throughout, avoiding unnecessary jargon
  • Form fields have clearly associated labels
  • Error messages are clearly identified and describe how to correct mistakes
  • No content flashes more than three times per second

4. Compatibility

  • Designed to be compatible with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
  • Compatible with recent versions of major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are aware of the following potential limitations and are working to resolve them:

  • Some older content or embedded third-party elements may not fully meet all accessibility criteria
  • PDF documents published on the site may not be fully accessible – if you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us
  • Some interactive features may have limited screen reader support – we are working to improve this
